💨 Abstract

After leaving their jobs in the UK, a couple bought a dilapidated two-room stone house and 12.5 acres of land with 200 olive and 50 carob trees in Catalonia, Spain, for around £15,000. They renovated the property, started producing olive oil, and ultimately moved to a nearby village. Living costs in rural Catalonia are significantly cheaper than in the UK.
