💨 Abstract
Travelers should beware of a new scam targeting them ahead of the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) rollout. Scammers are using fake websites to steal personal data and money, as ETIAS is not yet operational. These sites mimic official portals, charge extra fees, and promise instant approval. Official applications will cost about €7, be valid for up to three years, and allow short-term stays in Schengen countries.
