💨 Abstract

A £422million airport, Kastelli International, is set to open in Crete, Greece, in 2027. It will replace the Nikos Kazantzakis Airport and handle 10 million passengers per year initially, increasing to 18 million. The airport will feature 19 boarding gates, space for 27 aircraft, and ample retail and exhibition areas.
