Steve Pepoon, an Emmy-winning writer for "The Simpsons," passed away unexpectedly on May 3 at the age of 68. He had undergone treatment for cardiac amyloidosis for the last two years. Pepoon also co-created the Nickelodeon cartoon "The Wild Thornberrys" with a feature film adaptation released in 2022. His wife, Mary Stephenson, confirmed his passing.
