💨 Abstract

health officials have approved the first blood test for diagnosing Alzheimer's. The test, developed by Fujirebio Diagnostics, identifies the beta-amyloid plaques linked to the disease. This approval could improve access to diagnosis and the drugs Leqembi and Kisunla, which slow Alzheimer's progression. Previously, detection was through costly or invasive procedures. The blood test is intended for patients 55 and older who are showing early signs.
