💨 Abstract

In Washington, D.C., police arrested a man, Ian Andre Zephryin, who stabbed a police officer while res forces tried to subdue him during an arrest in Shaw. The incident, which took place in the 600 block of Florida Avenue, resulted from a shoplifting incident. Zephryin attacked an officer after being pepper-sprayed and slapped with a knife, injuring the officer. Police Chief Pamela Smith noted the dangers faced by the law enforcement daily.
