💨 Abstract
A 19-year-old man, Kentrell Flowers, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for attempting to carjack a deputy U.S. marshal at gunpoint outside Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s home. In addition to his sentence, Flowers will serve five years of supervised release. This incident occurred in July 2024 when Flowers approached an unmarked vehicle and pointed a handgun at the marshal.
