💨 Abstract
Trenise Wells, once homeless, transformed her life through the Peer Case Management Institute at Howard University, a program training those with lived homelessness experience to become case workers. Wells, part of the first cohort, is now successfully helping others find work and housing. The program, with high demand and a low acceptance rate, aims to create long-term pathways to the middle class and a skilled case management pipeline. Wells' journey highlights the program's success in providing empathetic and effective support.
