💨 Abstract
On June 15th, 2025, D.C. commemorated the 100th anniversary of the DC Fire Department's final use of horse-drawn carriages for emergencies. The event, organized by the DC Fire and EMS Foundation and the Friendship Fire Association, featured a reenactment along North Carolina Avenue, with a 1920s-style fire engine, horses, and Dalmatians leading the procession.
