đź’¨ Abstract
The Washington D.C. Council has introduced new legislation to separate the RFK Stadium redevelopment deal from the city's 2026 budget talks, aiming to hold focused public hearings and complete an economic impact analysis by July. The Washington Commanders aim to start playing at the site by 2030 and have urged the council to expedite the process, emphasizing the economic benefits for the district. The team has not considered negotiations with other jurisdictions if the deal is delayed.
