đź’¨ Abstract
A House panel released a fiscal 2026 appropriations bill with significant restrictions on D.C. These include halving funding for the D.C. Tuition Assistance Grant and prohibiting the use of local funds for automated traffic enforcement and enforcement of a law preventing right turns on red. Eleanor Holmes Norton criticized the bill as "unreasonable and patronizing," vowing to fight the measures.
