💨 Abstract

Charles Rucker, 24, was held without bond after pleading not guilty to first-degree murder while armed for the fatal shooting of 3-year-old Honesty Cheadle in Southeast D.C. Cheadle was in a car with her family on July 5 when Rucker allegedly fired multiple shots, hitting the toddler in the head. Rucker fled but returned to the scene, possibly to collect shell casings. Cheadle died in the hospital on Monday.
