💨 Abstract

A new and dangerous component, N-methyl clonazepam, has been found in fentanyl sold on the street, linked to 27 hospitalizations in Baltimore. Montgomery County Health Officer Dr. Kisha Davis warns this sedative, like Xylazine, is not reversed by Narcan. While Montgomery County has seen a drop in fatal overdoses, Davis urges vigilance due to the common mixing of fentanyl with unknown substances.
