💨 Abstract
In Detroit, efforts are being made to increase golf participation among Black high school students, who are underrepresented in the sport. Currently, only about 50 of the city's 14,000 high school students play golf on school teams. Coaches and community groups are working with local corporations and nonprofits to provide access to equipment, scholarships, and life skills training through golf programs.
