💨 Abstract
A federal judge has temporarily blocked a Florida law banning social media accounts for young children. Judge Mark Walker called the law, signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2024, likely unconstitutional because it restricts children's access to speech. The provisions blocked barred accounts for children under 14 and required parental consent from 14- and 15-year-olds. Walker mainly cited violation of rights and speech.
