💨 Abstract
The Supreme Court has allowed the Trump administration to proceed with laying off nearly 1,400 Education Department employees. The move comes after the court paused a lower court order that had halted the layoffs and questioned the legality of Trump’s plan to dismantle the department. President Trump and Education Secretary Linda McMahon plan to quickly execute the layoffs and outsource department operations to other agencies.
