💨 Abstract
Former Nike CEO John Donahoe is set to become Stanford's new athletic director, replacing Bernard Muir. Donahoe, a Stanford graduate, succeeds a tenure marked by successes in numerous NCAA titles but struggles in football and men’s basketball. Stanford has hired notable figures like Andrew Luck for football and Kyle Smith for basketball to improve these programs, along with numerous other coaches in women’s sports. The school is transitioning to the ACC after the Pac-12's dissolution.
