💨 Abstract
The European Union lifted most sanctions on Syria, allowing reimbursement for reconstruction while limiting sanctions on individuals and groups accused of crimes. Kallas outlined that these actions had prerequisites stipulating that the government of Ahmad al-Sharaa preserve peace, and fresh sanctions were placed on groups and figures for recent civilian attacks in the coastal region. Simultaneously, the United States has also eased some of its sanctions, partially facilitating Syria's rebuilding efforts.
