💨 Abstract
In response to EU regulations and a $585 million fine, Apple has modified its App Store policies in the European Union. These changes allow app developers to direct users to cheaper options outside the App Store and implement a two-tier fee system for alternative payments. Apple plans to appeal, while the EU will assess these changes for compliance with the Digital Markets Act, which aims to curb big tech's power.
