💨 Abstract
King Charles III has decided to decommission the Royal Train, a tradition dating back to Queen Victoria, due to high operating costs and the need for significant upgrades. The suite of nine railcars will be decommissioned before 2027. Despite criticisms of the royal finances, the Sovereign Grant, which funds the monarchy, remains at 86.3 million pounds for the upcoming year.
