💨 Abstract
July 2025 was the third-warmest July on record globally, according to the European Union's Copernicus Climate Change Service. Though temperatures were slightly lower than previous years, extreme weather events persisted. The global average surface temperature was 1.25°C above pre-industrial levels. The 12-month period from August 2024 to July 2025 exceeded the critical 1.5°C warming threshold.
