💨 Abstract
Fairfax County’s school board has approved a $150 million plan to buy the infrastructure of the closing King Abdullah Academy in Herndon to address overcrowding and create a new high school. The district hopes to save money by repurposing the existing facilities, which include labs, athletic fields, and administrative buildings, with plans to open the school as early as fall 2026.
