💨 Abstract
President Donald Trump pardoned former U.S. Michael Grimm, a New York Republican, who resigned after a tax fraud conviction. Grimm, a former Marine and FBI agent, pleaded guilty in 2014 to underreporting wages at his Manhattan restaurant, served eight months in prison and attempted a political comeback in 2018. Known for threatening a reporter, he later apologized. Grimm, now paralyzed from a polo accident, is recovering.
