💨 Abstract
In June 2025, veteran NIH researchers faced a crisis due to the unprecedented curtailment of their research activities. This problem arose as Donald Trump's administration suddenly terminated 2,100 research grants worth over $12 billion, disrupting vital medical trials and leaving participants without necessary treatments as above mentioning studies of tuberculosis in Haiti. In response, over 90 NIH employees, including scientists, program directors, and others, publicly challenged this environment.
