💨 Abstract
The U.S. State Department has directed its embassies and consulates not to revoke visas already issued to individuals from 12 predominantly African and Middle Eastern countries affected by President Trump's new travel ban, effective June 9. While current visa holders should be unaffected, new applications will be denied unless they meet narrow exemption criteria. This comes after a previous chaotic travel ban.
