💨 Abstract
The Associated Press reports July 18, 2025, Congressman Robert Garcia confirmed that Andry Hernández Romero, a Venezuelan makeup artist, was one of several migrants deported and subsequently returned to Venezuela in a multi-national exchange. Romero, who sought asylum in the U.S. after fleeing Venezuela, was detained due to tattoos mistakenly linked to a gang. He was held in the notorious El Salvadoran prison, CECOT, before his successful return to Venezuela.
