💨 Abstract
Kashmir's tourism has collapsed following a deadly gun attack on tourists and subsequent military tensions between India and Pakistan. Most hotels, houseboats, and resorts are empty, with tens of thousands of job losses and economic decline. The region's tourism sector, which had been growing, is now at a standstill. Experts warn that peace and resolution of the region's dispute are necessary for revitalization.
