💨 Abstract
The iconic Moulin Rouge windmill in Paris has been restored and its sails are turning again. After collapsing in April 2024 due to a technical issue, the sails were rebuilt in time for the Paris Olympics but resumed turning only on Thursday evening. The restoration was celebrated with a performance by 32 dancers in red feathered costumes. The windmill's sails had been a symbol of Paris's bohemian life since 1889.
