💨 Abstract
Britain's oldest WWII veteran, Donald Rose, died at 110. Rose participated in the D-Day landings and helped liberate Bergen-Belsen. He recently celebrated 80 years since VE Day. Born in 1914, Rose served in North Africa, Italy, and France, receiving numerous medals, including France’s Legion d’Honneur. He is remembered as a war hero by the Erewash Borough Council.
