💨 Abstract
The Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina, previously stable, is now experiencing its most significant retreat in a century due to climate change. Research shown in timelapse photos since 2020 indicates the glacier is losing contact with bedrock, leading to increased ice loss and backward movement. Experts predict several more kilometers of retreat in the coming years, highlighting the delayed response of glaciers to climate change.
