💨 Abstract
This June, WTOP celebrates Pride Month by featuring LGBTQ+ stories from the D.C. area. Notably, they highlighted Safe Space NOVA’s Pride Prom held at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria. This event provides a safe space for youth aged 14-20 to express themselves and be supported. Organized by Amy Cannava and student volunteers, like Sarah Yonker, the prom emphasizes inclusivity and acceptance.
