💨 Abstract
An electrical cable fire near Foggy Bottom caused a temporary halt in Metrorail service between the McPherson Square and Clarendon stations. Commuters experienced heavy delays on the Orange, Blue, and Silver lines. Metro General Manager Randy Clarke acknowledged the disruptions and apologized, with service returning to normal around 8:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.
