💨 Abstract
After fleeing Burundi, Christian Maboko started a nonprofit, AridVitality, to provide free water and encourage farming in refugee camps. Inspired by a YouTube video and his personal experience, he secured grants to install water pumps in Kakuma refugee camp. His work earned him recognition as a Top 50 finalist for the Chegg.org Global Student Prize. Maboko aims to make refugees self-reliant, focusing on food security to enable learning.
