💨 Abstract
The George Washington Memorial Parkway is upgrading 14 water bottle refill stations, thanks to a grant from the National Park Foundation and Subaru of America. The new freeze-resistant stations will also include dog bowls. The initiative aims to ensure visitor hydration and reduce pollution. Work is underway, with two stations already installed. Key groups supporting this effort include Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail and Potomac Conservancy. The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
