💨 Abstract
The Maryland State Board of Elections is being challenged in court by five unaffiliated voters, alleging that public funding of primary elections, which they cannot participate in, is unconstitutional. They claim approximately 950,000 unaffiliated voters in Maryland are disenfranchised. The lawsuit requests to prevent state funding of these "closed" primaries.
