💨 Abstract
In its first year, a community garden at Prince George’s Community College produced over 400 pounds of fresh produce, aiding both volunteers and students facing food insecurity. Led by communications professor Laura Miller, the garden offers a range of vegetables and herbs, with plans to expand. Millner started the garden project following her observation of food scarcity and expense in her students, all challenges that this garden aims to ease.
