💨 Abstract
Baseball hall-of-famer Dave Parker, aged 74, passed away, announced by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Parker spent 19 seasons in Major League Baseball, was in the 7-time All-Star and 3-time Gold Glove award winner. Fan-favorite Parker had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2012, and was set to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame next month. The Pirates held a moment of silence on the day of his death.
