💨 Abstract

Baseball legend Mariano Rivera tore his Achilles tendon during the New York Yankees’ Old-Timers’ Day game. The 55-year-old Hall of Famer will undergo surgery within a week. Rivera was injured while chasing a flyball and needed immediate medical attention. The game had returned after a pause since 2019 to honor the Yankees’ 2000 championship team. The event also saw the participation of former Yankees legend Roger Clemens.
