💨 Abstract
The family of former Boeing quality control manager John Barnett, who commit suicide after being questioned about his whistle blowing on alleged jumbo jet defects, has settled a lawsuit against Boeing. Barnett, who retired in 2017, had raised concerns about metal shavings near flight control wiring and issues with oxygen systems on Boeing 787 planes. He faced harassment after reporting these issues. The settlement details were not disclosed. Barnett died in March 2024.
