💨 Abstract
Despite the upcoming REAL ID compliance deadline this week, travelers who are not compliant will still be able to fly, but with extra screening. Homeland Security stated that 81% of travelers already have REAL ID compliant IDs. Security checkpoints will accept passports, tribal identification, and REAL ID cards. Those without REAL ID may be diverted to a different line or have additional steps.
