💨 Abstract
On May 14, 2025, at least 48 people, including 22 children, were killed in Israeli airstrikes on homes in northern Gaza. The strikes occurred a day after Hamas released an Israeli-American hostage and during U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had stated there would be no halt to the war in Gaza, reducing prospects for a ceasefire.
