đź’¨ Abstract
Elon Musk's initiative to cut U.S. federal government spending, led through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), is set to end with much lower savings than initially promised. Musk's efforts have failed to achieve his stated goals of $2 trillion, then $1 trillion, and finally $150 billion in savings. The failure was attributed to a lack of government experts on his team, leading to ineffective cuts and rehiring costs.
