💨 Abstract

The Supreme Court has refused to hear a challenge to Maryland's assault weapons bans. Meanwhile, the FDA has approved the first at-home cervical cancer test. At-home tests can improve access to healthcare, especially for sensitive or invasive exams, but they are not a full replacement for in-person visits. While some tests, like those for colon cancer, can be useful in rural areas, they should not replace doctor visits if issues are found.
