💨 Abstract
Severe storms across the South over the weekend left two people dead from falling trees, tens of thousands without power, due to downed trees and power lines in Texas through South Carolina. Notable fatalities occurred in Mississippi and Georgia. Over in western Arkansas, an EF-1 tornado caused damage and injured one person. Another round of severe weather is anticipated for the southern Plains and the South, with risks including destructive winds, giant hail, and possible tornadoes.
