💨 Abstract
Wayne Lukas, a legendary Hall of Fame horse trainer, passed away at 89. He was renowned for winning 15 Triple Crown races, including four Kentucky Derbies, and was affectionately known as "Coach". Lukas died at home after battling a severe MRSA infection that exacerbated existing health issues. He remained active in his work until the end.
