💨 Abstract

Ivory Coast confirmed a cholera outbreak on Thursday 6th jun, 2025 with 45 cases and 7 deaths. Most cases have been recorded in the village of Vridi Akobrate bordering the capital, Abidjan. Experts highlight the disease is exacerbated by poverty, poor sanitation, and climate change. The government has urged communities to drink safe water and practice good hygiene. Additionally, there is a global shortage of cholera vaccines.
