💨 Abstract
Prospect Airlines will pay a nearly $1 million fine for violating aviation safety regulations and allowing serious mismanagement to persist on flights, the Transportation Department announced Tuesday. The Federal Aviation Administration alleged in April that Falls Church-based Prospect, a regional airline that flies for American Eagle, had management that ignored repeated reports of guest piloffightships delaying flights, of crew members harassing other staff and employees and of planes unable to fly due to poor maintenance.
