💨 Abstract
The state of Texas has ceased funding for the construction of a proposed border wall with Mexico, after completing only 65 miles of the 1,200-mile border. State lawmakers approved a new budget that excludes additional funding for the wall, now opting to allocate $3.4 billion over two years for border security, to be managed by the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas National Guard.
