💨 Abstract
In Kerr County, Texas, officials reported that only three people remain missing after a devastating flood on July 4, down from nearly 100. The floods, which killed at least 135 people, severely impacted the Hill Country, known for its susceptibility to flash flooding due to its soil composition. Camp Mystic, a summer camp, saw 27 fatalities. Search and rescue efforts, along with investigative work, have been pivotal in reducing the missing persons list.
