A legal battle is unfolding between tech startup iyO and OpenAI over a trademark dispute. iyO's CEO, Jason Rugolo, alleges that OpenAI and legendary iPhone designer Jony Ive stole his idea for a new AI communication interface. Rugolo claims he pitched his concept to both Apple, through former Apple executive Ive, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman back in 2022, but was rebuffed.
